Shoreditch Town Hall is a Grade II listed building originally constructed in 1839-40 as a public hall for local government and community events. Designed by James Morrison, it served as the administrative centre for the Metropolitan Borough of Shoreditch for over a century. While retaining its original Victorian architectural features – including a large assembly hall with a distinctive proscenium arch stage – the building underwent significant restoration work completed in 2017. It now functions as a multi-purpose arts and events venue hosting a diverse range of performances, including music concerts, theatre productions, and film screenings, alongside continuing to be available for private hire.
