Chassol, the stage name of French composer and pianist Martin Grégoire, will perform at Usine à Gaz in Nyon, Switzerland on November 1st, 2026. Chassol’s musical style is characterized by its innovative use of sampling and live looping. He typically records sounds directly during performance – voices, instruments, ambient noise – and then manipulates these samples in real-time to create layered, evolving compositions. His work blends elements of classical music, jazz, electronic music and hip-hop, often described as “cinematic” due to its textural richness and narrative qualities. He frequently incorporates visual elements into his performances.

Usine à Gaz is a cultural venue located in Nyon housed within a former gas factory. Originally built in 1903 to provide gas lighting for the town, the facility ceased gas production in 1968. The building was subsequently repurposed and opened as a cultural center in 1984. It now hosts a diverse program of concerts, theatre performances, exhibitions and other events. The venue is known for its industrial aesthetic and intimate atmosphere, accommodating approximately 400 standing or 250 seated audience members.
