Chassol, the stage name of Antoine Hersen, will perform at L’Olympia in Paris on September 30, 2026. His musical style is characterized by “narrative sampling,” where he records sounds from his immediate environment – conversations, street noise, musical instruments – and then re-samples and re-arranges them in real-time using a laptop and MIDI controllers to create layered, melodic compositions. Often described as blending jazz harmonies with electronic textures and spoken word elements, his performances are largely improvisational and visually driven, frequently incorporating projected visuals synchronized with the music.

L’Olympia is a renowned music hall located in the 9th arrondissement of Paris. Originally built as a dance hall by Bruno Hess in 1893, it quickly became a popular venue for variety shows and concerts. Throughout its history, L’Olympia has hosted an incredibly diverse range of international artists including Edith Piaf, The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, and more recently, numerous contemporary musicians. The venue is known for its intimate atmosphere despite its relatively large capacity of around 2,200. Its architectural style features a distinctive Art Nouveau facade and a horseshoe-shaped auditorium which contributes to its excellent acoustics.
