Chassol, the stage name of Christophe Héral, will perform at Bonlieu Scène Nationale Annecy on February 6, 2027. His musical style is characterized by “narrative sampling,” a technique where he records sounds from his immediate environment – conversations, ambient noises, musical fragments – and then re-samples and re-arranges them in real-time using a piano or other instruments as a central element. This results in compositions that blend elements of jazz, classical music, electronic music and spoken word, often described as improvisational and highly textural. He frequently performs solo, building complex soundscapes live on stage.

Bonlieu Scène Nationale Annecy is a significant cultural institution in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region of France. Originally constructed in 1968 as a multi-purpose cultural centre designed by architect Michel Colleig, it underwent a major renovation and expansion completed in 2018. The venue houses multiple performance spaces including a large concert hall (the Grande Salle), a smaller theatre (le Théâtre), exhibition spaces and a cinema.
