Chanticleer, an American vocal ensemble widely recognized for its precision, blend, and innovative programming, will perform at the Lensic Performing Arts Centre in Santa Fe, New Mexico on April 30, 2027. The group typically presents a repertoire spanning Renaissance polyphony, Gregorian chant, jazz, spirituals, and contemporary compositions; often commissioning new works and exploring thematic concerts. Founded in 1978 as an extension of the Archdiocesan Choir of San Francisco, Chanticleer has evolved into a globally acclaimed ensemble known for its all-male vocal configuration and distinctive sound.

The Lensic Performing Arts Centre itself holds significant cultural importance within Santa Fe. Originally constructed in 1931 as a movie palace designed in the Pueblo Deco style by architect George Sutton, it served as a central entertainment venue for decades. Facing potential demolition in the 1990s, a community-led effort successfully restored and repurposed the building as a multi-disciplinary performing arts center. It officially reopened in 2001 and now hosts a diverse range of events including concerts, dance performances, theater productions, lectures and film screenings.
