Casiopea, a highly influential Japanese instrumental fusion band, is scheduled to perform at The Wiltern in Los Angeles on September 13, 2026. Formed in Tokyo in 1976, Casiopea’s music blends elements of jazz, funk, rock, and electronic music, characterized by complex arrangements, virtuosic musicianship, and a prominent use of synthesizers and electric instruments. Throughout their career—which includes periods of disbandment and reunion—they have released over 30 studio albums and cultivated a dedicated international following.

The Wiltern, located in the Koreatown neighborhood of Los Angeles, is a historic Art Deco theatre originally opened in 1931 as a movie palace and vaudeville venue. Designed by architect William Norman Aitken, it’s recognized for its distinctive turquoise terracotta façade and ornate interior detailing. After periods of decline and renovation, it was purchased by Live Nation in 2009 and now primarily functions as a concert hall hosting a diverse range of musical acts. The Wiltern is known for its relatively intimate capacity (approximately 2,300) compared to larger arenas, offering audiences closer proximity to performers while maintaining excellent acoustics.
