Village Studios holds a significant place in Vancouver’s musical history. Originally established as Mushroom Studios in 1978 by Terry McBride, it quickly became a prominent recording facility attracting both Canadian and international artists. Throughout the 1980s and 90s, the studio played host to sessions for notable acts including Bryan Adams, Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, and Metallica – with Metallica’s “...And Justice for All” being a particularly renowned recording project undertaken there.

In 2003 the studio was rebranded as Village Studios following a partnership with producer Bob Rock. It continues to operate as a professional recording studio alongside functioning as a live performance venue offering intimate concert experiences. The space maintains its reputation for high-quality acoustics and its historical connection to the music industry within Vancouver.
