The ensemble is recognized for its instrumental acoustic guitar compositions blending elements of classical, jazz, rock, and world music. Their performances frequently feature intricate arrangements of popular songs alongside original pieces, often characterized by complex fingerstyle techniques and dynamic interplay between the three guitarists – Paul Yandell, Hideki Suzuki, and William Ackerman. The Muskegon Museum of Art, established in 1912, serves as a significant cultural institution for the West Michigan region. Originally founded through a bequest from Charles Hackley, a local lumber baron, the museum’s initial focus was on American art. Over time, its collection has broadened to encompass 19th and 20th-century American paintings and sculpture, along with international works including European and Asian art. The museum building itself underwent substantial renovation and expansion in 2018 which modernized gallery spaces and enhanced accessibility. It continues to host rotating exhibitions alongside its permanent collection and offers educational programs for all ages.
