Brandee Younger is a contemporary jazz harpist, composer, and vocalist recognized for her innovative approach to the instrument and her blending of jazz, soul, and R&B influences. Younger has collaborated with artists across genres including Robert Glasper, Erykah Badu, and Jill Scott, establishing herself as a prominent figure in modern jazz.
Benaroya Hall, the performance venue for the concert, opened in 2003 and serves as the home of the Seattle Symphony. Designed by LMN Architects and acoustician Russell Johnson, it is celebrated for its exceptional acoustics – specifically its vineyard-style seating arrangement which places the audience closer to the performers. The hall’s design intentionally aimed to create an intimate connection between musicians and listeners.
The building also incorporates significant public art installations and serves as a multi-purpose venue hosting a variety of performances beyond orchestral music including pop, rock, Broadway shows and dance performances. Benaroya Hall is located in downtown Seattle and is a landmark architectural feature of the city's cultural landscape.
