Boz Scaggs is scheduled to perform at the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall in Sarasota, Florida on October 11, 2026. Scaggs’s music blends elements of rhythm and blues, smooth jazz, adult contemporary, and rock, achieving prominence throughout the 1970s and continuing with a sustained career. He is known for his distinctive vocals and sophisticated arrangements, with hits including “Lowdown,” “Lido Shuffle,” and “We’re All Alone Tonight.”

The Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall opened in 1973 and is recognized for its distinctive circular architecture, often likened to a purple seashell. Situated on the Sarasota bayfront, it has become a significant cultural landmark in the region. The hall primarily hosts Broadway shows, concerts, dance performances, and other live events. It's known for its intimate seating arrangement which provides relatively close proximity between performers and the audience.

Currently undergoing a capital campaign for a new performance arts center location, the existing Van Wezel continues to operate at its original site while plans for relocation progress. The venue has hosted numerous prominent artists over its five-decade history and remains a key component of Sarasota’s arts scene.
