Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra (BSO) will perform at Theatre Royal & The Drum, Plymouth on January 8, 2027. Theatre Royal & The Drum is a combined venue resulting from the 2013 merger of two Plymouth institutions: the Theatre Royal, Plymouth – a Grade II listed building originally opened in 1813, and The Drum, a smaller studio theatre focused on contemporary performance. The Theatre Royal has undergone several rebuilds following fires, the most significant being in 1988. It hosts a wide range of touring productions including musicals, plays, opera and ballet, as well as hosting its own produced work.
