Sendesaal Bremen serves as a significant cultural venue within the city. Originally constructed in 1939 as a broadcasting studio for Nordwestdeutscher Rundfunk (NWDR – now NDR), it underwent extensive renovation and modernization between 2017 and 2019. The building’s architecture reflects its functional origins while incorporating contemporary design elements. Beyond its historical role in radio broadcasting, Sendesaal now functions primarily as a concert hall and event space, hosting a wide range of musical genres including classical, jazz, and world music. Its acoustics have been specifically engineered to accommodate diverse performance requirements, making it a favored location for both musicians and audiences alike. The hall's capacity is approximately 680 seats.
