It's known locally for its historic character and role as a community gathering place. The building itself reflects its age with original woodwork and a classic tavern atmosphere. Over the years it has hosted various musical acts, primarily focusing on blues, country and rockabilly genres but also showcasing diverse styles. It remains one of the oldest continuously operating taverns in the state of Oregon.
