Bohuslän Big Band will perform at the Grand Theater in Gothenburg, Sweden on September 27, 2026. The band is a professional ensemble specializing in large jazz orchestra music, encompassing both original compositions and arrangements of contemporary and classic pieces. Their repertoire frequently blends traditional big band sounds with influences from modern jazz, funk, and occasionally Swedish folk music traditions. Established in 1969, Bohuslän Big Band has a long history of collaboration with renowned international musicians and is recognized as one of Sweden’s leading jazz orchestras.

The Grand Theater (Göteborgs Stadsteater) opened in 1995 and serves as the home for Gothenburg City Theatre's various ensembles – drama, opera, dance and music theatre. The building itself is notable for its modern architectural design, incorporating elements of both functionality and artistic expression. It replaced an earlier theatre on the same site dating back to 1920 which was destroyed by fire. The current structure features multiple performance spaces including the Main Hall where Bohuslän Big Band will be appearing, known for its excellent acoustics and capacity for large-scale productions. The theater is owned and operated by the City of Gothenburg.
