Black Country, New Road is a British post-punk band formed in Cambridge in 2018. Their music is characterized by dynamic shifts in instrumentation and intensity, blending elements of art rock, jazz, and spoken word. Initial releases featured prominent saxophone and violin alongside driving rhythms, evolving over subsequent albums to incorporate more experimental arrangements and introspective lyricism. The band gained recognition for their critically acclaimed debut album *For the First Time* (2019) and continued to develop their sound with *Ants From Up There* (2022) and *Chlorine* (2024).
The Orpheum in Tampa, Florida, originally opened as a movie palace in 1926. Designed in the atmospheric Moorish style by architect Malcolm McRae, it operated as a single-screen cinema for several decades. Following periods of decline and closure, the building underwent significant restoration beginning in 2013.
Reopened as a live music venue in 2015, The Orpheum now hosts a variety of national and regional acts across genres. It retains many of its original architectural features including ornate detailing and a distinctive proscenium arch.
