Black Country, New Road is a British post-punk band formed in Cambridge in 2018. Their music is characterized by dynamic shifts in instrumentation, incorporating elements of jazz, classical, and experimental rock alongside traditional post-punk structures. Vocals are often delivered in spoken-word or emotionally charged styles, frequently exploring themes of anxiety, societal observation, and personal relationships. The band gained significant critical acclaim following the release of their debut album *For the First Time* in 2021, and continued with *Ants From Up There* in 2022 before undergoing a lineup change.
