Black Country, the British post-punk band formed in 2019, will perform at Somerset House, London on July 22, 2026. Their music is characterized by a blend of driving basslines, angular guitar work, and spoken-word vocals, often drawing comparisons to bands like Wire and Public Image Ltd. Lyrically, their songs frequently explore themes of urban alienation and contemporary life with a distinctly observational approach. The group gained prominence with their debut album *For the First Time* in 2019 and continued success with *Antlers* in 2022.

Somerset House is a significant cultural landmark in central London. Originally built between 1776 and 1780 as a residence for Sir William Chambers, it was intended to house naval offices. Designed in the neoclassical style by Chambers, the building served various governmental functions before being transformed into a public space dedicated to arts and culture in 1977. Today, Somerset House hosts a diverse programme of exhibitions, installations, concerts and events throughout the year within its historic courtyard and galleries.
