Black Country, New Road are a British post-punk band formed in Cambridge in 2018. Their music is characterized by dynamic shifts in instrumentation and intensity, blending elements of post-punk, jazz, classical, and spoken word. Initial releases featured Isaac Wood as vocalist and primary lyricist; subsequent work has continued with a shifting instrumental focus following his departure. The band has released three studio albums to date: *For the First Time* (2021), *Ants From Up There* (2022), and *Chlorine* (2024), receiving critical acclaim for their experimental approach and emotionally resonant songwriting.
Queens Park Arena is an outdoor performance venue located within Queens Park in Glasgow’s Southside. Originally constructed in 1933 as a greyhound racing stadium, it underwent significant refurbishment in the early 2000s to transform it into a multi-purpose events space. The arena now hosts a variety of concerts, festivals, and sporting events during the warmer months. It offers a capacity of approximately 4,500 standing and limited seated attendees.
