Black Country, a British post-punk band formed in 2019, will be performing at the Granada Theatre in Overland Park, Kansas on October 17, 2026. Their music is characterized by driving, repetitive basslines, angular guitar work, and spoken-word vocals delivered with a distinctly detached and often sardonic tone. Influences range from Joy Division and Wire to more contemporary acts within the post-punk revival scene. The band gained significant attention following the release of their debut album *Black Country* in 2019 and have continued to build a following with subsequent releases like *Antlers* (2022) and *Nomad* (2024).

The Granada Theatre originally opened in 1928 as a single-screen movie palace designed in the Spanish Colonial Revival style. Throughout its history, it operated primarily as a cinema, showcasing films for the Overland Park community. After periods of decline and closure, the theatre underwent extensive renovations completed in 2018. These renovations modernized facilities while preserving many of its original architectural features.
