Experience Belcea Quartet live on December 18th

The Belcea Quartet is scheduled to perform at the Philharmonie de Paris on December 18, 2026. The quartet, formed in 1990, is renowned for its intensely communicative and insightful interpretations of string quartet repertoire. Their playing style is characterized by a clear textural approach, rhythmic vitality, and a focus on revealing the emotional core of the music. They are particularly noted for their complete cycles of Beethoven, Bartók, and Shostakovich quartets, demonstrating a commitment to in-depth exploration of composers’ complete works.

The Philharmonie de Paris, inaugurated in January 2015, is a major concert venue located in the Parc de la Villette, 19th arrondissement of Paris. Designed by architect Jean Nouvel, it is comprised of a Grande Salle (Great Hall) with approximately 2,400 seats known for its adjustable acoustic panels and modular stage; a smaller Studio hall; and several rehearsal spaces. It serves as the home base for the Radio France Philharmonic Orchestra and hosts a diverse range of classical music performances alongside other genres.
