The hall is celebrated for its excellent acoustics and elegant architecture, designed originally by Hans Jakob Stehle. Throughout its existence, Tonhalle has hosted prominent conductors and musicians establishing itself as an important European center for classical music. The current hall maintains its historical character while incorporating modern technological advancements to enhance the auditory experience.
