The Verkadefabriek is a cultural center housed within the former Verkade chocolate factory building in ’s-Hertogenbosch. Originally built in 1931 as a production facility for Verkade, the building ceased chocolate production in 1969. Following a period of decline, it was redeveloped in the late 1990s into a multi-disciplinary arts venue. The building retains many original architectural features from its industrial past, including characteristic windows and structural elements, which are integrated into the contemporary design of the cultural space. Today, it hosts theatre performances, concerts, exhibitions, and other cultural events.
