Förderverein Kloster Haydau E. V. is an association dedicated to the preservation and promotion of Kloster Haydau (Haydau Monastery). Founded in 1188 as a Cistercian monastery, Haydau experienced various transformations throughout its history – including secularization during the Reformation – before falling into disrepair in the 20th century. The Förderverein was established in 1993 with the goal of restoring the monastery complex and utilizing it for cultural purposes. They oversee ongoing restoration projects and host a diverse program of events including concerts, exhibitions, and workshops within the historic grounds. The association relies on membership fees, donations, and proceeds from events to fund its activities.
