The Academy is a multi-purpose venue situated on Middle Abbey Street in Dublin city centre. Originally opening as a theatre in 1888 as the Abbey Theatre (later renamed the Marlborough Theatre), it underwent significant renovations and reopened as a music venue in 2003. The space currently operates as a two-room venue; a larger main room with a capacity of approximately 850 and a smaller second room known as The Box, accommodating around 250 people.
