The Musical Instrument Museum, which opened in 2010, showcases instruments from around the world, representing diverse cultures and historical periods. Its collection comprises over 8,000 instruments displayed within geographically themed galleries. The museum aims to promote global understanding through the universal language of music. Beyond the instrument displays, MIM features high-definition video and audio designed to demonstrate how instruments are played in their original cultural contexts. The building itself is an architectural landmark designed by RSP Architects Collaborative and Antoine Predock Architect/Planners. It provides a unique concert venue due to its acoustics and intimate setting within the broader museum experience.
