Avangelia, the Greek composer and sound artist, will perform at Paradiso in Amsterdam on July 4th, 2026. Her work broadly falls within the ambient, neoclassical, and experimental electronic music genres, often incorporating choral elements and field recordings to create immersive and atmospheric soundscapes. Avangelia’s compositions frequently explore themes of mythology, nature, and the human condition, characterized by delicate melodies and textured sonic environments. She has released albums on labels such as Erased Tapes and has collaborated with artists across diverse musical fields.

Paradiso is a renowned concert venue located in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Originally constructed in 1978 as a church—the Vredeskerk (Peace Church)—it was transformed into a cultural center and concert hall by a group seeking an alternative space for artistic expression. The building retains much of its original ecclesiastical architecture, including stained-glass windows and a high vaulted ceiling, contributing to its unique atmosphere. Paradiso has hosted performances by a vast range of internationally acclaimed artists spanning numerous genres since its inception, becoming a significant landmark in Amsterdam's music scene and known for its intimate yet grand setting. It is currently managed by the Mojo Concerts organization.
