Dolmen’s music aims to create immersive and emotionally resonant experiences for listeners.
The Ruins of St. Bertin Abbey in Saint-Omer represent a significant historical and architectural landmark. Founded in 638 AD by Saint Bertin, it was initially a monastery that became a powerful Benedictine abbey during the Middle Ages. The abbey played a crucial role in the region’s religious, political, and intellectual life for over ten centuries. Largely destroyed during the French Revolution in 1793, substantial portions of the abbey church remain standing today as evocative ruins. These remnants showcase Gothic architecture including sections of the nave, transept and particularly its impressive west front which is a notable example of Flamboyant Gothic style. The site is now maintained as a historical monument and serves as a space for cultural events due to its unique atmosphere and acoustics.
