Antonio Forcione will perform at Ropery Hall in Barton-upon-Humber, North Lincolnshire, on November 13th, 2026. Forcione is an Italian acoustic guitar virtuoso known for his energetic and improvisational style, blending influences from jazz, flamenco, Brazilian and Mediterranean music. His performances frequently incorporate percussive techniques on the guitar body and a distinctive vocal approach utilizing wordless sounds and scat singing alongside lyrical content. Ropery Hall is a restored Grade II listed building with a significant local history. Originally built in 1848 as a rope-making factory for the shipping industry – hence its name – it was one of the largest roperies in Britain. The building ceased rope production in 1986 and underwent extensive renovation to transform it into a multi-purpose arts and community venue. It officially reopened as Ropery Hall in 1996.

The hall now hosts a diverse program of events including theatre, music concerts, film screenings, exhibitions and workshops.
