Stadttheater Aschaffenburg holds a significant place in the cultural landscape of Lower Franconia. Originally constructed in 1906 in the Art Nouveau style, it underwent substantial renovations following damage during World War II, reopening in 1958. The theatre serves as a multi-purpose venue hosting opera, operetta, plays, concerts and ballet performances. It is architecturally notable for its well-preserved Art Nouveau detailing and its function as a key regional cultural center. The building accommodates approximately 460 audience members and continues to be an important site for both local and touring productions.
