Salle de l'Alhambra in Geneva opened in 1918 as a cinema, quickly becoming a popular venue for film screenings and variety shows. Over time it transitioned to primarily hosting live performances. The hall is noted for its intimate atmosphere and Art Deco interior design, retaining many of its original architectural features. With a capacity of approximately 700 people, it's considered one of Geneva’s key venues for chamber music, jazz, and world music concerts. Its acoustics are generally regarded as excellent for unamplified or minimally amplified performances. The space underwent renovations in the 1990s to improve facilities while preserving its historical character.
