Flagey - Studio 1 is a historically significant concert hall located within the larger Flagey cultural center in Brussels. Originally constructed in the 1930s as a Maison de la Radio – the broadcasting house for Belgian National Radio – the building exemplifies Art Deco architecture. Studio 1 itself was designed with acoustics specifically tailored for radio broadcasts and quickly became known for its exceptional sound quality. Following extensive renovations completed in 2002, Flagey reopened as a multi-disciplinary arts center while retaining Studio 1 as a premier venue for classical music performances. The studio maintains its original architectural features alongside modern upgrades and hosts a diverse range of ensembles and soloists throughout the year.
