Experience Allison Russell live on November 3rd

Allison Russell will perform at the Burton Cummings Theatre in Winnipeg, Manitoba on November 3, 2026. Russell is a Canadian singer-songwriter and poet whose music blends folk, Americana, and blues influences, often incorporating elements of spoken word and gospel. Her work frequently explores themes of trauma, resilience, and Black queer identity. She gained prominence as a founding member of the acclaimed folk collective Our Native Daughters alongside Rhiannon Giddens, Leyla McCalla, and Franchesca Harding. Russell’s solo career has been marked by critically lauded albums like *Outside Child* and *The Returner*, earning her multiple Juno Awards and Grammy nominations.

The Burton Cummings Theatre originally opened as the Orpheum Theatre in 1906 as part of the Vaudeville circuit. It underwent several name changes throughout its history, becoming the Pantages Theatre in 1931 and finally being renamed in honour of Winnipeg native and musical icon Burton Cummings in 1988. The theatre is a designated National Historic Site of Canada, recognized for its architectural significance as one of the few remaining examples of early 20th-century vaudeville theatres in the country.
