Jazz Concerts in Mons
Experience Ahmed Hawwash live on November 5th
Ahmed Hawwash will perform at Arsonic in Mons, Belgium on November 5th, 2026. Hawwash is an Egyptian musician whose work blends traditional Sufi Dhikr practices with contemporary electronic music production and sound design. His compositions frequently incorporate field recordings from Egypt, vocal layering, and minimalist electronic textures, creating immersive and meditative soundscapes. He explores themes of spirituality, memory, and cultural heritage within his musical output.
Arsonic is a concert venue and cultural center located in the former Fusee de Mons building, a historical gunpowder factory. Opened in 2002 after extensive renovations, the space was conceived as part of a larger urban redevelopment project aiming to revitalize the area around the Mons railway station. It’s known for its industrial aesthetic – retaining many original architectural features of the factory – and its commitment to showcasing diverse and experimental artistic programming across multiple disciplines including music, visual arts, theatre and dance. Arsonic operates as a key component of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation’s network of cultural venues and hosts both established and emerging artists. The venue features two primary performance spaces: a large hall and a smaller club space known as “Le Cube”.
