Experience 40 Fingers live on September 24th
40 Fingers presents a unique blend of live electronic music, characterized by intricate, real-time looping and manipulation of samples, often incorporating elements of drum and bass, breakbeat, and ambient textures. The group, led by Samuel “Sam” Brennan, is known for its improvisational performances and avoidance of pre-programmed sets; each show is built spontaneously using audience suggestions and on-the-fly composition. They utilize a distinctive setup involving multiple Akai MPC samplers – typically forty, hence the name – to create complex and layered soundscapes.
