Will Taylor & Strings Attached is a contemporary bluegrass ensemble led by mandolinist and vocalist Will Taylor. Originally formed in 2012 while Taylor was a student at the University of Hartford’s Jackie McLean Institute of Jazz, the group quickly gained recognition for its innovative blend of traditional bluegrass instrumentation with jazz, swing, and pop sensibilities.

Taylor, a Vermont native, honed his skills playing with influential figures like David Grisman and Darol Anger before establishing his own distinct sound. Strings Attached features expert musicianship from players like fiddler/vocalist Emily Fremuth, bassist Skip Ward, and guitarist Dan Bonoff (rotating members have included others).

They’ve released three full-length albums: *Not Kidding Around* (2014), *The Hat Fits* (2016), and *Concrete Machines* (2019), all receiving critical acclaim for their sophisticated arrangements and Taylor’s compelling songwriting. The band consistently tours nationally, performing at prominent bluegrass festivals including Grey Fox Bluegrass Festival and Philadelphia Folk Festival.
