Experience Will Liverman
Will Liverman is a rapidly ascending American baritone celebrated for his compelling stage presence and richly textured voice. A graduate of the Juilliard School’s Artist Diploma in Opera Studies, Liverman gained prominence after winning the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions in 2019. He’s particularly lauded for his interpretations of French and American repertoire, frequently performing roles like Papageno ( *The Magic Flute*), Figaro (*The Barber of Seville*), and Eugene Onegin.
Liverman debuted at the Metropolitan Opera in 2023 as Escamillo in *Carmen*, receiving critical acclaim. He’s a frequent collaborator with leading opera companies including San Francisco Opera, Houston Grand Opera, and Glyndebourne Festival Opera. Beyond traditional opera, Liverman actively champions contemporary works and has commissioned new pieces exploring themes of Black identity and American history.
His debut album, *Dreams of Escape*, a song cycle co-created with composer Douglas J. Cuomo, explores the life of his great-grandfather who escaped slavery, garnered widespread recognition including a Grammy nomination for Best Classical Solo Vocal Album in 2024.
