Vincent Schmidt is a German-born, Los Angeles-based composer, sound designer, and multi-instrumentalist renowned for his evocative and often minimalist electronic music. Initially gaining recognition through self-released albums on Bandcamp beginning in 2017, Schmidt’s work quickly garnered critical acclaim for its textural depth and emotional resonance. He's particularly known for blending ambient soundscapes with elements of modern classical and glitch, creating a distinctive sonic palette.

Schmidt’s breakthrough came with the 2020 album *Fractals*, released on Erased Tapes Records, which received widespread praise from publications like Pitchfork and The Wire. He has since toured extensively across Europe and North America, performing live sets utilizing modular synthesizers and incorporating field recordings.

Beyond solo work, Schmidt contributes to film scoring and collaborates with visual artists, extending his creative vision into multimedia projects.
