Vincent Dubois is a highly regarded French organist, improviser, and composer, celebrated for his virtuosic technique and deeply musical interpretations. Born in 1979, Dubois succeeded Olivier Latry as titular organist of Notre-Dame Cathedral, Paris in September 2022 – a position he held until the cathedral’s restoration necessitated a temporary relocation of the instrument.

He previously served as organist at Saint-Sulpice, Paris (2013-2022) and Saint-Germain-des-Prés (2008-2013), building a reputation for innovative concert programming that blends traditional repertoire with contemporary compositions and spontaneous improvisation. Dubois is a prolific recording artist, releasing numerous albums on labels like Naxos and Harmonia Mundi, often featuring works by composers like Bach, Messiaen, and his own creations.

A graduate of the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, Dubois is also a dedicated educator; he teaches improvisation and organ performance. His playing style is characterized by clarity, rhythmic precision, and a remarkable ability to evoke emotion through nuanced registration and phrasing. He frequently performs internationally as a soloist and with orchestras.
