Utopia is an American progressive rock band formed in 1973 by legendary musician Todd Rundgren. Known for their eclectic fusion of rock, pop, and art rock, Utopia carved a unique niche in the 1970s and early 1980s music scene. The band initially started with a more experimental sound but gradually evolved into a tighter, more accessible style characterized by complex arrangements, melodic hooks, and Rundgren’s distinctive vocals and multi-instrumental talents.
Throughout their career, Utopia released several critically acclaimed albums such as *Todd Rundgren’s Utopia* (1974), *Ra* (1977), and *Oblivion* (1984).
