Turun filharmoninen orkesteri (Turku Philharmonic Orchestra) is Finland’s oldest orchestra, founded in 1905. Originally established as a city orchestra, it rapidly evolved into a professional ensemble, playing a crucial role in Turku’s cultural life. Throughout its history, the orchestra has been led by prominent conductors including Ernst Palmén and Leif Segerstam, currently being guided by Principal Conductor Christian Suski.

Notably, they champion Finnish music, frequently performing pieces by Jean Sibelius, whose works are deeply ingrained in their identity.
