TRIOZ is a Canadian instrumental trio comprised of pianist/keyboardist David Restivo, bassist Mike Downes, and drummer Ethan Ardell. Formed in Toronto in 2008, the group quickly established itself within the contemporary jazz scene through intricate compositions and virtuosic performance. All three members are highly respected educators, holding positions at prominent institutions like Humber College and the University of Toronto.

Their sound blends elements of modern jazz, progressive rock, and chamber music, characterized by complex harmonies, shifting time signatures, and a strong emphasis on interplay. TRIOZ has released five critically acclaimed albums: *TRIOZ* (2010), *The Long Way Home* (2013), *Roots* (2016 - nominated for a JUNO Award for Instrumental Album of the Year), *Convergence* (2019), and *Reflections* (2023).

Known for their captivating live performances, they've toured extensively across Canada and internationally, including appearances at major jazz festivals. Their music consistently receives airplay on CBC Music and Jazz FM. TRIOZ’s dedication to original composition and collaborative improvisation continues to solidify their position as leading figures in Canadian instrumental music.
