Time in the Wilderness is the moniker of singer-songwriter David Littrell, a Nashville-based artist gaining recognition for his emotionally resonant folk and Americana music. Formerly a touring member of Andrew Bird’s band, playing violin and contributing vocals from 2007-2015, Littrell transitioned to a solo career in 2016 with the release of his self-titled debut album.

His sound blends intricate fingerpicking guitar work with layered arrangements incorporating strings, banjo, and subtle electronic elements. Lyrically, Time in the Wilderness explores themes of faith, doubt, nature, and personal transformation – often drawing inspiration from his upbringing in rural Kentucky and subsequent spiritual questioning.
