Experience The Volcanos
The Volcanos are a Canadian garage rock and power pop band formed in Vancouver, British Columbia in 2016. Initially a solo project of frontman & songwriter, Dave Barber (formerly of Japandroids’ touring band), the group quickly evolved into a four-piece featuring members with backgrounds in notable Vancouver punk and indie scenes.
Their sound is characterized by raw energy, catchy melodies, and a distinctly 60s-influenced aesthetic – often drawing comparisons to The Sonics, The Standells, and early The Rolling Stones. They’ve released three studio albums: *Throwing Stones* (2018), *It's All Over Now* (2020), and *Strange Times* (2023) – all on Dirty Water Records.
The Volcanos have garnered critical acclaim for their energetic live performances and authentic retro sound. They’ve toured extensively across Canada and the US, supporting acts like Ty Segall & White Fence and King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard. *It's All Over Now* received significant airplay on college radio stations and was praised for its tight songwriting and vintage production.
