The Soul Juice Band hails from Syracuse, New York, and has been delivering a potent blend of soul, funk, and R&B since their formation in 2010. Originally a project centered around the songwriting of multi-instrumentalist/vocalist, Ryan Farrell, the band quickly evolved into a tight-knit six-piece ensemble featuring seasoned musicians. Their sound is deeply rooted in classic Stax and Motown influences, yet infused with contemporary arrangements and improvisational energy.
They’ve steadily built a regional following through consistent live performances at venues like the Westcott Theater and Funk ‘n Waffles. The Soul Juice Band released their self-titled debut album in 2015, followed by *Good Times* (2018) and *Hold On* (2023), all independently produced. *Hold On* garnered significant local radio play on WAER 88.5 FM and positive reviews for its sophisticated arrangements and Farrell's emotive vocals.
Notably, they were finalists in Syracuse’s “Battle of the Bands” in 2016 and have opened for national acts like Lettuce and The Motet.
