Terri Green (born Theresa Marie Green, January 13, 1962) is an American soul and R&B singer best known for her 1983 hit single, "I'm Still Here." Discovered while singing backup for The Pointer Sisters, Green signed with Fantasy Records and released her self-titled debut album in 1983. “I’m Still Here” reached #2 on the *Billboard* Hot Black Singles chart and crossed over to the *Billboard* Hot 100, peaking at #45.
Her vocal style is characterized by a powerful, emotive delivery reminiscent of Chaka Khan and Aretha Franklin, blending classic soul sensibilities with emerging contemporary R&B sounds of the early 80s. Following her initial success, Green released a second album, *Think About It*, in 1984.
Though she didn’t sustain mainstream chart dominance beyond her initial hit, Green continued performing and recording throughout the 80s and 90s. She has since become a respected figure within the neo-soul community, influencing later artists with her authentic vocal performance and enduring contribution to the soul music landscape.
