Ted Chubb is a highly sought-after American session bassist, composer, and producer whose career spans decades and touches numerous genres. Initially gaining prominence in the 1990s as a founding member of the funk/jam band Mo’Fone, Chubb established himself as a master of groove and improvisation. He’s since become a cornerstone of the Lettuce collective, contributing significantly to their signature brass-band influenced funk sound since 2008 – appearing on multiple albums including “Fly” (2012) and “Elevate” (2016).

Beyond Lettuce, Chubb maintains a prolific career as a session musician, lending his basslines to artists like Galactic, Soulive, Robert Randolph & The Family Band, and Snarky Puppy. His playing is characterized by its melodic sensibility, rhythmic precision, and versatility across funk, jazz, soul, and rock.

Chubb's production work includes projects with various independent artists. He also leads his own instrumental projects showcasing original compositions. Recognized for his consistently stellar performances and collaborative spirit, Ted Chubb remains a vital force in contemporary instrumental music.
