Tania Giannouli is a Greek composer and sound artist internationally recognized for her work exploring the intersection of acoustic ecology, field recordings, and contemporary classical music. Trained in composition at the Athens Conservatory and further studies in electroacoustic music in France (IRCAM), Giannouli’s practice centers around deep listening and site-specific installations.

Her compositions frequently incorporate environmental sounds – often captured directly by the artist – transforming them into evocative sonic landscapes. Notable works include *Metamorfosi* (2016), a large-scale outdoor sound installation utilizing the acoustics of ancient sites, and *Chora*, a series of pieces reflecting on place and memory through recorded environments.

Giannouli's work has been presented at prestigious festivals like Unisson(s) (France), ICMC (International Computer Music Conference), and Darmstadt Summer Courses for New Music. She's received commissions from institutions like GRM (Groupe de Recherches Musicales) and has held residencies at renowned art centers. Beyond composition, she lectures on sound art and acoustic ecology, advocating for mindful listening as a critical artistic and ecological practice.
