Tak Arikushi is a Japanese guitarist, composer, and arranger renowned for his versatile musicianship spanning jazz, fusion, and pop. Born in 1979, Arikushi initially gained prominence as a member of the influential instrumental band Depapepe alongside Miyaoki Shinji. With Depapepe, he contributed significantly to their distinct acoustic guitar sound, releasing numerous albums and performing extensively internationally – including appearances at major festivals like Fuji Rock.

Beyond Depapepe, Arikushi has established a successful solo career marked by intricate compositions and technically brilliant playing. He’s released several solo albums like “Navigator” (2013) and “Bloom” (2018), showcasing his evolving style which incorporates elements of flamenco and bossa nova alongside jazz harmony.

Arikushi is also highly sought-after as a session musician and arranger, contributing to projects with artists across diverse genres. He frequently conducts guitar workshops and masterclasses, sharing his expertise with aspiring musicians.
