Susan Horn is a Canadian vocalist and composer renowned for her innovative vocal looping techniques and deeply personal songwriting. Emerging in the late 1990s, she initially gained recognition performing as part of the Toronto experimental music scene, often incorporating field recordings and extended vocal improvisation into her performances.

Her solo work, beginning with the 2003 album *For the Missing*, showcases a distinctive style blending elements of jazz, folk, and ambient music. Horn’s process involves live looping her voice to create complex harmonic textures and rhythmic foundations – a technique she’s refined over decades. She doesn’t rely on pre-recorded backing tracks; everything is built in real-time.

She has released several critically acclaimed albums including *Things That Never Were* (2011) and *You Are Here* (2018), touring extensively across Canada and Europe. Horn's compositions often explore themes of memory, loss, and connection to place.
