Stochelo Rosenberg is a renowned Dutch jazz guitarist celebrated for his virtuosic Gypsy jazz style, deeply inspired by the legendary Django Reinhardt. Born in 1968 into the illustrious Rosenberg family of Romani musicians, Stochelo began playing guitar at an early age, quickly establishing himself as a prodigy within the Gypsy jazz genre. His career took off in the 1980s with the formation of the Rosenberg Trio alongside his cousins Nonnie and Nous’che Rosenberg, a group that has become synonymous with authentic Gypsy jazz worldwide.

Known for his fluid technique, melodic phrasing, and impeccable swing feel, Rosenberg masterfully blends traditional Romani music with modern jazz elements. His playing is characterized by rapid-fire runs, expressive vibrato, and rhythmic precision that pay homage to Django Reinhardt while pushing the genre forward.
